Isogai Residence
A large timber screen filters the morning light from the east while providing privacy from the street.
The spacing and height of each slat were carefully adjusted to create the right balance of light for the planting beyond.
From the raised platform at the entrance, the garden unfolds as a quiet landscape to be enjoyed from within.

Designed primarily to be experienced from within the house, this garden functions almost as an extension of the interior.
The project reaffirmed how a small courtyard garden can enrich daily life and elevate the value of a living space.
Plant compositions rarely found together in nature create a sense of unreality, transforming the courtyard into a vibrant and refreshing landscape—reminiscent of the mythical Dragon Palace beneath the sea.
